IMAX: Journey to Space

Week 13: This week we began our study of Ancient Greece.  We worked on our math and reading and continued with our study of space.  We decided to take a trip to the Science Center to pull together all that we have been learning.

We had a great time seeing our first IMAX movie, Journey to Space. The boys have been enjoying our science curriculum on Astronomy.  I thought the movie would be a great way to draw together some of the things we have been learning.  The IMAX facility was a bit overwhelming and disorienting at first, but once we adjusted we had a blast.  We learned a lot about space exploration.

Week 12: Ancient Americas

This week we have been studying the Ancient Americas.  We studied the Inuits, Aztecs, and Ancient Native Americans.  The boys have also continued to work diligently on their math, science, grammar and reading.

Owen tried his hand at weaving with some natural materials :)

Noah wanted to practice his handwriting after finishing all the lowercase letters

We talked about Inuit snow houses and Owen got creative with his own version of a snow house.

Noah was so very proud to finish his reading curriculum Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons.

 Math time!

A Little Autumn counting practice with candy corn.
