IMAX: Journey to Space

Week 13: This week we began our study of Ancient Greece.  We worked on our math and reading and continued with our study of space.  We decided to take a trip to the Science Center to pull together all that we have been learning.

We had a great time seeing our first IMAX movie, Journey to Space. The boys have been enjoying our science curriculum on Astronomy.  I thought the movie would be a great way to draw together some of the things we have been learning.  The IMAX facility was a bit overwhelming and disorienting at first, but once we adjusted we had a blast.  We learned a lot about space exploration.

Autumn Acres Field Trip

We had a great afternoon with friends at Autumn Acres for the home school field trip. It was a chilly day, but the kids had a blast running around, playing on hay bales, trying out the giant slide, and riding the wagon.

Unit Celebration!!!

Week 9

We finished up our study of ancient Egypt this week and had our Unit Celebration for the first Unit of Tapestry of Grace.  We were lucky enough to get to present all the great things we have been learning to Grandma Susan and Grandma Gram.  The kids showed them what our day looks like and some of their school work.
